STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts / Architecture and Mathematics. In the school environment, students learn how to integrate and apply these resources into everyday life. This subject was formerly known as Digital Technologies.
Peter Johnson teaches this subject weekly for students from Grades P-6. In addition senior students are invited to participate in extension activities involving concepts such as basic programming or ‘coding.’

It is celebrated with an annual event called The MEPS Media Festival. In 2025 the MEPS Media Festival was held at the Mooroolbark Community Centre.
