Global Education

Global Education is a unique subject experience at MEPS, which recognises the need for students to be greater equipped, to participate as active citizens in a global society.

The idea of teaching Global Education as a ‘specialist’ subject first came about back in 2012, as we partnered with our sister school – Chengbei Primary School in China.

Throughout this process, we recognised the need to offer our students greater opportunities to gain the knowledge, and to develop essential skills, to become active and productive members of local and broader communities.

Global Education is offered to all of our students as a ‘specialist’ subject, as with Art, Music, Sport, Mandarin and Digital Technologies.

Global education promotes positive values and assists students to take responsibility for their actions and to see themselves as global citizens who can contribute to a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
